Hello everyone, As you will have seen announced back on October 4, 2023, WMCO has been successful in securing funding for WMCO to help wood manufacturing members in Ontario make digital integration investments. The available funding is the result of a Government of Canada investment, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). This is a 2.5-year project that will fund 50 companies to support their digital integration projects. The first round is now closed. We are currently receiving completed project plans from members for expenditures starting April 1, 2024- Feb 28, 2025.Funding availability for this round is limited to 18 projects based on eligible expenses up to 100K @ 45% funding ($45K funded maximum). ONBord hosted an engaging and well-received plant tour on January 31, 2024. The event brought together wood manufacturers and suppliers across Ontario to share ideas and learn from one another. ONbord, based in Mississauga, Ontario, has been crafting top-notch thermal laminate cabinet doors, edge-banded doors, laminated panels, moldings, and furniture components since 2019. The team's dedication is evident in the superior quality of their products. WMCO spent last week busy preparing for and exhibiting at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo (WMS) – The National Event for Canada's Wood Industry in the International Centre Toronto.
